Ernst Seeds is not just a seed producer; they’re the largest seed producer on the East Coast. Their impressive operation spans over 10,000 fertile acres in Meadville, PA. From sun up to sun down, they grow, process, and sell key native and naturalized seeds for restoration, reclamation, conservation, wildlife and pollinator habitat enhancement, and renewable biomass energy production.
Our initial meeting with Ernst Seeds revealed more than just a need for a catalog refresh — it unveiled a family-owned company with a heartfelt mission and an epic tale that deserved to be shared. Their 140+ page seed catalog was not just a collection of products but a narrative of their 60 years in business.
The catalog upgrades we implemented for Ernst Seeds were not only cosmetic changes. We introduced a new earthy color palette with natural textures, documented their production processes through new photography and videography, and added brand-building content. These enhancements were designed to enrich the user experience, offering an immersive “day on the farm” vibe that appropriately celebrated their 60 years in business. We also created new graphs and user-friendly call-outs to assist customers in navigating the catalog.
Simultaneous projects included a logo update, a new 60th anniversary logo, updated wayfinding farm signage, new single-serve seed packets, exterior tradeshow flags, team gear, updated sales literature, website updates, SEO, and conceptualized renders of a future lobby update to come.
We love this company and all that it stands for. It was a true honor to get to know them and bring their story into the sunlight, where it deserves to be.
