The Erie Community Foundation

The Erie Community Foundation (ECF) is a collection of 800+ charitable endowments operating under the administrative umbrella of a single public charity. Since 1935, ECF has worked tirelessly to inspire, engage, and empower donors and local communities in our region. We had the extreme privilege of working with their visionary president, talented marketing team, and dedicated board, bringing their mission to life through countless newsletters, informational brochures, and outreach materials, as well as nine annual reports, over more than a decade.

The ECF annual reports were an undeniable favorite of all the projects we collaborated on thanks to their celebration of creativity and the rare freedom, allowing our team to go “all in.” Each year, this 90+ page publication kicked off with a lively pitch of marketing themes, with one idea selected to lay the foundation for all communication to build from for that year. In the months that followed, we’d work through mood boards, cover concepts, portrait ideas, and page layout proofs. Much to our delight, our creative touch was encouraged to extend well beyond 2D design, venturing deep into 3D set design, filmed event teasers, fundraising tool development, and event styling. Each report is undeniably unique yet notably unified in its mission to share the epic tales of bravery, generosity, and teamwork happening right in our backyard.
